Andrew A. Hengstler, 58, well-known Ludington resident, died at his home at 204 East Foster street at 4 o'clock Saturday afternoon, succumbing to an illness of several years.
Mr. Hengstler was an ardent fisherman and sportsman. He was born in Ludington April 7, 1885. He was a graduate of Ludington highschool. For 20 years he was engaged in real estate business in Detroit, returning to Ludington a number of years ago. For the past 10 years, he had been proprietor of Ludington Beverage Co. He was a member of Ludington lodge No. 736, Benevolent & Protective Order of Elks.
Mr. Hengstler is survived by his widow Grace Hengstler; a son, Raymond Hengstler of Detroit; a daughter, Shirley Eriksen of Detroit; a sister, Gertrude Baltzer of Ludington; a brother, Albert Hengstler of West Point, Ga; his step-mother, Mrs. Mary Hengstler of Ludington, and two grandchildren.
The body, now at Dorrell chapel, will remain there until funeral services which re scheduled for 2:30 Tuesday afternoon. The Rev. Mr. Paul Haskell Clark of community church will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery.

Funeral Services for Andrew A. Hengstler were held Tuesday afternoon from Dorrell chapel with the Rev. Mr. Paul Haskell Clark of Community church in charge.
Mrs. George Palm and Mrs. Herbert Carlson sang "He Walks with Me" and "Rock of Ages".
As part of the services Ludington Lodge No. 736, Benevolent & Protective Order of Elks, conducted their memorial rites with Dr. R. E. Somers, exalted ruler, in charge.
Pallbears were Floyd Bush, Leo Reed, Floyd Vogel, J.A. Baltzer, R. Lageson and John Lund. Burial was in Lakeview Cemetery.
Relatives and friends from out of town who attended the services were Mr. and Mrs. Albert Hengstler of West Point, Ga; Mrs. Shirley Eriksen, Herbert Kimberley, Mrs. Florence Christe, Mrs Grace Newton, all of Detroit; Mrs. A.E. Murphy of Sheppard, Mich; Olney Krafft of Flint, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Bush of Mt. Pleasant, Mrs. Milton Bush, Dick Bush, Mrs. Evelyn Kraft, Mrs Amy Coon, all of Owosso, and Mrs. Florence Burgess of California.
In addition to the relatives, listed in Monday's issue of the News there is a stepbrother, Harold Meininger of St Louis, Mo., and a stepsister Mrs. Mildred Comer of Detroit.
