He was born on August 1, 1943, in Wichita, Kansas, the son of Robert N. and Edith May Griffin Duckworth, Sr.
He grew up in Wichita and on January 12, 1962, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. He was honorably discharged on January 11, 1966.
On September 2, 1964, he was united in marriage to Jackie Wolff in Wichita, Kansas. They made their home in Wichita where he owned and operated Bob's Body Shop. In 1980, they moved to Warsaw and he owned and operated Bob's Hydraulic Service until he retired. Bob was a member of the V.F.W. Post #5824 of Warsaw, MO.
Bob raised, showed and sold pigeons. He enjoyed his family and his grandchildren were the love of his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Scott Duckworth on January 19, 1998, and a brother, Danny Duckworth.
Surviving is his wife, Jackie, of the home, one son, Charles Allen Duckworth of Springfield, Missouri, and a daughter, Lisa Ann Duckworth of Warsaw, ten grandchildren, a sister, Sandra Diane Applegate, of the state of Florida, other relatives and friends.
Graveside services with military honors will be held at 12:00 Noon, Sunday, May 27, 2012, at Shawnee Cemetery, Warsaw, MO.
