MORTUARY
Theresa, wife of William Pape, died in the city this morning at 2 o'clock. She was sixty-four years old. The body will be taken to Deshler Friday for burial. The funeral will be held at that place Saturday afternoon.

Therese Pauline Alberline, wife of William Pape, died Thursday morning of last week in a hospital in Lincoln, where she had been taken a few days previous for medical treatment. She had been suffering for some time and had not sufficient strength to survive the operation. The remains wers (sic) brought to the home four miles south of Deshler. The funeral took place from the Friedens church, Saturday afternoon, Rev. Schwerin officiating. The factory and most of our business houses closed during the funeral and the large attendance attest the high esteem in which the family is held. Mrs. Pape was born in Germany, November 2, 1846, being 64 years, 10 months and five days old at the time of her death. She was married Feb. 15, 1864 (sic) and came to this country in 1872, settling at Iron Mountain, Missouri. In 1878 the family came to Thayer county (sic) settling near this place where they have since resided. Ten children were born, three boys and seven girls, six are living, a son, Herman of Bruning and six daughters, Mrs. Henry Buck (sic), Mrs. August Buck (sic), Mrs. Wm. Schreek and Mrs. Wm. Koenke of Deshler and Mrs. Louis Baughman (sic) of Ohiowa.
