Burney Whitfield Pinkard, Former Mart Resident Dies
Burney Whitfield Pinkard, 63, father of Mrs. Jim Massey and F.W. Pinkard, both of Mart, died Tuesday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. R.L. Bachofer of Salina, Kan. He lived near Mart until eight months ago, when he moved to Kansas. The body will arrive in Mart over the Missouri Pacific Lines Friday morning, and funeral arrangements are pending. Interment in Mart Cemetery. Littlepage in charge of arrangements. Survivors: His widow, Liddie; one son, F.W. Pinkard, Route 2, Mart; two daughters, Mrs. Jim Massey of Mart and Mrs. R.L. Bachofer of Salina, Kan; three brothers, G.F. Pinkard of Corsicana, William Pinkard of Houston, and Grady Oran Pinkard of Wortham; one sister, Mrs. Bertha Briggs of California.
