Spc. Trevor A. Pinnick, 20, of Lawrenceville, Ill., died June 11 in Panjwa'l, Kandahar province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when insurgents attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device. He was assigned to the 18th Engineer Company, 1st Battalion, 37th Field Artillery Regiment, 3rd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash. He was born the son of Nancy Adams Pinnick and Thomas Pinnick. He was a 2010 graduate of Lawrenceville High School and after graduation; he enlisted in the U.S. Army. He was stationed at Ft. Lewis, Washington and was deployed to Afghanistan. He was a devoted husband, father, son and a dedicated soldier. He is survived by his wife, Martha Johnson Pinnick, their daughter, Melody Renee Pinnick. His mother, Nancy Adams Pinnick of Mt Carmel, IL, His father, Thomas Pinnick of Alton, IL, a brother, Thomas Pinnick of Lawrenceville, IL and 2 sisters, Kayla Pinnick of Mt. Carmel and Bethany Pinnick of Vincennes, IN. His paternal grandmother, Dottie Pinnick of Vincennes, his aunts, Rose Anna Russler and her husband Robin of Reedsville, PA and Delores "DeeDee" Faulkenburg, and her husband Michael of Minot, ND. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Robert Sr. & Lois Ruth Haaf Adams, uncles, George "Pee Wee" Adams, Robert Adams Jr and his aunt, Mona McCrary. Funeral services will be conducted Monday June 25, 2012 at 11:00 CST at the Lawrenceville High School Auditorium with Pastor Tony Hodson officiating. He will be laid to rest in Memorial Park Cemetery, Vincennes, IN with full military honors. The family will receive friends from 2 to 7 PM Sunday at the Lawrenceville High School Auditorium.
