Hazen Hardy was married first to Dorothy Viola Berg,she died young, leaving him with their daughter Leonore. He then enlisted in the army and was in France in World War II. Upon his return, he married Marion Alda George and had four more daughters, Ruth Edna, Judith Ann, Rachel Elizabeth, and Lois Rebekah.
When he was young he lived in Braintree, MA but spent his summers with grandparents in Rangeley, Maine. He raised his daughters in Weymouth, Ma and was a faithful member and deacon of The First Baptist Church of Weymouth. Upon retiring, he moved to East Douglas MA and was a member of Uxbridge Baptist Church until his death. He was also a member of several Native American organizations and the Douglas Historical Society in the E N Jenckes Store.
