Agnes was born March 23, 1906 to Jesse Martin and Louise (Johnson) West in Herman, Nebraska.

John William Sutton and Agnes Adeline West were married on 23 December 1924 at Council Bluffs, Pottawattamie, Iowa.

She was a homemaker and a past president of P.E.O. She was a member of First Methodist Church and was also a former school board member.

Funeral services were held Monday, April 27, at First Methodist Church in Blair for Agnes Sutton, 75, who died April 24, 1981 at Bryan Memorial Hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband; and one son, Steve Sutton of Lincoln, Nebraska,. Three grandchildren; one sister, June Nelson, Blair; and two brothers, Melvern West, Herman, Nebraska and Ernest West, Ottertail, Minnesota, also survive her.

Rev. Gordon Patterson conducted the services. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Hugh Hunt, Richard Hunt, David West, Ernest M. West, Gary West, Jack West, Neal West and Warren West.

Katy Flynn was organist. The vocalist was Homer Nielsen.

Campbell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for the services
