TYRE, Rebecca J., 80 yrs., Bellevue. Survived by sons, Raymond C. Prior, Ames, IA., David W. Swisher; daughters, Ruth M Stinson, both of Bellevue, Virginia V. Foos, Greeley, CO; 17 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. Member of A.A.R.P. Senior Citizens Group.
There is not much information concerning Rebecca, but it sure can be said that she was a very pleasant person to talk to and be around.
In the 1950's Rebecca owned a small cafe in North Omaha, near Florence Blvd. She did a good business because she was a very good cook. She made the best bean soup we had ever tasted and other things as well. It is unknown how long she kept her cafe in business.
Rebecca outlived four husbands: Lonzo R Pryor, Pearl Raymond Swisher, Charles Wesley Wetmore, and John Charles Tyre.
Services, 12 noon, Wednesday at St. James United Methodist Church of Bellevue (15th & Franklin). Interment Bellevue Cemetery. VISITATION after 9 am Tues.
