He was a priest with the Diocese of Covington. He served as an assistant at St. March Church, Alexandria, co-director of the Catholic Youth Organization and CYO Athletic League, dean of students at Villa Madonna College, pastor at St. Augustine Church, Augusta, director of the Priests Eucharistic League, and retired from St. Edward Church, Cynthiana.

Survivors include a brother, the Rev. Paul Brinker of Fort Thomas; and a nephew, xxx of Fort Thomas.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Thomas Church, Fort Thomas. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and beginning at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Fort Mitchell.

Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Church, 120 Chaplin Road, Louisa, Ky. 41230; St. Thomas Church, 26 E. Villa Place, Fort Thomas, Ky. 41075; St. Augustine Church, 215 E. Fourth St., Augusta, Ky. 41002; or St. Edward Church, 107 N. Walnut St., Cynthiana, Ky. 41031.
