Whitney Nicole Artman, 22, of Annapolis, IL died at 10:58 p.m. on March 30, 2012. She was born on November 1, 1989 in Vincennes, IN, the daughter of Rodger Artman & Carol Fowler Artman. She was a 2008 graduate from Hutsonville High School. Whitney was creative, and put effort into several different crafts. She was also a very enthusiastic lover of music and animals. But most of all, Whitney loved being with her family. She is survived by her parents, Rodger & Carol Artman; her paternal grandparents, Pat & Doyle Artman; her maternal grandparents, Fred & Cheryl Fowler; her aunts and uncles: Chris & Rick Vanarsdalen, Shelly Bean, Janie & John Smothers, Donna Stephens, and Dick Bridgewater; her special cousins, Haley Bean and Corey Mehler; as well as several other cousins. Whitney was preceded in death by her grandmother, Phyllis Fowler; and her great-grandparents: Virgil & Lenora Bridgewater, Maurice & Alice Fowler, and Chester & Jarvis Crum. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at the Prust-Hosch Funeral Home in West Union with Reverend Lynette Barnett officiating. Burial will be in the Hutsonville Cemetery. There will be a visitation from 3:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Crawford County Humane Society, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
