She was born November 4, 1925 in Argyle, the daughter of the late Jacob and Freda (Behr) Kritzman.
She attended Lang Country School until the 8th grade then rode the bus to Sandusky High School and graduated in 1944. After graduation she moved to Detroit to work then back to Sandusky to work until she married Hazen (Bud) Amey on October 25 1947 in Deckerville. He preceded her in death on June 23, 1990. Betty retired from Dick’s Hardware.
She is survived by her daughter, Ms. Bonnie Amey of Carsonville, daughter-in-law, Ms. Sharon Amey and two grandchildren Ashley and Kevin Amey, and one sister Mrs. Leola Phillips of Deckerville.
She was preceded in death by her son Greg Amey, brother Russell Kritzman, and sister Mrs. Grace Smith.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Betty Irene (Kritzman) Amey will be 11:00 AM., Wednesday in the Apsey Funeral Home. Rev. Debbie Brown will officiate. Burial will be in Downing Cemetery.
