Rev. Moran, age 66, died shortly after arrival at a Marysville hospital of injuries suffered in a three-car accident south of Marysville. He was the son of John and Mary (Leonard )Moran. He was the associate pastor of the Catholic Church of the Assumption in Topeka for 24 years. He graduated from Blaine High School. He was ordained May 29, 1954, and assigned to St. Ann's Catholic Church in Prairie Village, then Holy Family Catholic Church in Summerfield, then Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Money Creek, then St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Emerald in 1966, and finally to Assumption Catholic Church in Topeka.
Survivors include his siblings, Pat Harrington, Marie McCormick, Bernard Moran, John Moran, and Daniel Moran. Mass of Christian Burial was held at Catholic Church of the Assumption. Burial was in Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Blaine.
