ARKOMA — George O. Ledford, 78, of Arkoma died Monday, Feb. 9, 2004, in his home. He was a retired owner and operator of George's Heating and Air, was an Army veteran of the Korean War, a member of Lee's Chapel Assembly of God in Muldrow and the widower of Olive Ledford.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Lee's Chapel Assembly of God Church with burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Fort Smith with full military honors under the direction of Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Lea; two daughters, Violet Williamson and Deborah Lokey, both of Arkoma; a son, Stanley Ledford of Fort Smith; two sisters, Shirley Ledford of California and Velma Wald on Muldrow; four brothers, Henry and Harold Ledford, both of Fort Smith, Charlie Ledford of Sallisaw and Mitchell Ledford of Poteau; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Darrell Williamson II, Daniel Lokey, Kramer Ledford, Wendell Giles, Jason Watson, William Chiles and Luke Robbins.
Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Lee's Chapel Assembly of God.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
