Edra Blanche Adkins, 84, of Hilldale went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, February 6, 2010 at her home following a long illness.

Born April 24, 1925 at Kanawha, Co., WV she was the owner of Bluestone Grill and lived most of her life in Summers Co.

She enjoyed playing bingo, gardening, fishing and raising her flower garden and bird watching.

Preceded in death by her husband, Henry Adkins, one son, William Ray Adkins, two sisters, Frances Hanks and Faye Roark and a brother, Junior Meadows.

Survived by her children; Frank Adkins and wife Margaret, Dan Adkins, Charles Adkins and wife Faye, Roger Adkins, Judy Lilly, Melda Phillips and Husband Roger, Carolyn Sherwood, Connie Woodrum and Husband Tommy, Cleatis Adkins and Wife Sue, Twilla Freeman and Husband Arthur, James Adkins and David Adkins and Wife Julie, three sisters; Willa Pegram, Alma Keaton and Opal Lydon, two brothers; Roy Wills and Johnny Meadows and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Private funeral services were held at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Johnny Wills officiating.

Mrs. Adkins was interred in the Houchins Cemetery at True. Her grandsons served as pallbearers.
