Teresa E. Sanchez, 77, of Hutchinson died June 19, 2012 at the Reno County Hospice House. She was born May 28, 1935 in Basuchil, Chihuahua, Mexico, the daughter of Rafael and Andrea Cardenas Estrada.
She was a Hutchinson resident since 1982 moving from Mexico and was a homemaker. She had attended St. Teresa's and Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Churches.
On July 12, 1986 she married Pablo D. Sanchez Sr. in Hutchinson, he survives. Other survivors include two children; son, Monserrate Perez and daughter, Martha Perez, both of Chihuahua, Mexico, eight step-children; Lupe Palmatier, Pablo Sanchez Jr., and Raquel DeGarmo, all of Hutchinson, Romelia Burkes, Beaumont, TX, Luz Oliver, Denver, CO, Victoria McPherson, Topeka, KS, Feliciano Sanchez, and Richard Gochenour, both of Geneseo, KS, sister Socorro Cardenas, Mexico, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters and a step-daughter, Yolanda Rutledge.
Visitation will be from 9:00am to 9:00pm Thursday, with a Parish Rosary at 7:00pm all at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home. Graveside service will be 11:00am Friday at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery with Fr. Nicholas Voelker presiding. Memorials may be given to St. Teresa's Catholic Church in care of the funeral home.
