Josephine (Montemayor) Waters, 63, of St. Joseph, passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at a St. Joseph health care facility.
She was born on September 17, 1948 in St. Joseph, daughter of Blas and Hope (Betancourt) Montemayor Sr.
She was a member of the Catholic faith.
Josephine was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Kenny Cardwell and three brothers, John Montemayor, Jesse Montemayor and Albert Montemayor; and a sister, Maria Lupe Montemayor.
She is survived by three sons, James, of Dexter, Missouri; Danny and Steven, St. Joseph, Missouri; three brothers, Blas Montemayor, Humble, Texas; Frank
Montemayor and Paul Montemayor of St. Joseph, Missouri; two sisters, Martha Meng, Troy, Kansas and Dolores Hayward, St. Joseph, Missouri, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Josephine will be cremated under the direction of the Rupp Funeral Home.
