George was vice president of Commerce Packaging Corp. He was also a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Norwalk. He served with the U.S. Air Force during World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Borgen Acker of Norwalk; a daughter, Cheryl Acker of Fairfield, CT and one granddaughter, Kristen Wolchik. He is also survived by a sister, Jane Pirnat of Brewster, MA.
The family will receive friends at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 208 Newtown Avenue, Norwalk on Thursday, June 21, 2012 from 10:30 - 11:00 AM. A Funeral Service will follow at St. Peter Lutheran Church on Thursday, June 21, 2012 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Long Ridge Cemetery in Stamford.
