She was born Feb. 23, 1872, in Vienna, Austria, and came to the United States at the age of 18, settling in Manitowoc County.
On Jan. 12, 1898, she was married to Hugo Schurrer. The couple resided at Hika, where they operated a tavern for over 70 years. Mr. Schurrer died in 1961.
She was a member of St. Wendel Catholic Church and an honorary member of its Christian Mothers Society.
Surviving are two sons, Edwin and Arthur, both of Hika; a daughter, Mrs. Ann Singleton, Hika; a step-son, Theodore, of Oshkosh; two grandchildren and a great-grandchild. A daughter preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday atthe Stoltenberg Funeral Chapel, Cleveland, and 10 a.m. at St. Wendel Catholic Church. The Rev. Leo Ott, pastor, will officiate and burial will be at St. George Cemetery, Hika.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Tuesday. The Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Tuesday.
