Ophia L. Appl was born January 11, 1919, in Bellemont and departed this life Monday, Dec. 5, 2011, in Prague at the age of 92.

Ophia, the daughter of Christopher Columbus and Roxie Allie (Bennett) Terrell, was a life-long resident of the Garden Grove area of Prague.

She married John H. Appl on Nov. 10, 1941. He preceded her in death May 24, 1990. They made their home in Garden Grove, where Ophia was a life-long member of the Garden Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

She worked in the distribution department of the Newton Wall Company.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include nephews, Phillip Taber and his wife, Brenda, of Shawnee and Sherman Terrell and his wife, Mary Jo, of Prague; niece, Glenda States of Prague; great-nephew, Brandon Taber, his wife Renae, and their children, of Shawnee; great-niece, Stephanie Frazier, her husband Carl, and their children of Ada; sister and brother-in-law, Gladys and Sanford Judy of Shawnee; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
