Emma was the daughter of Exvia and Flevia (Globe) Geroux/Girowe - all French Canadians. She came to the United States in 1862-3.

She married Levi Rivers [or perhaps Olivier Lariviere??] in 1877. He was also an immigrant from French Canada, coming in 1859-60. Levi was an engineer in the paper mill. They had a large family:

2. Olive, Dec 22, 1879, wed on 27 May 1903 to Emery Letellier.
3. Ida, Nov 17, 1881, married 19 Jun 1905 to Lawrence Fortin.
4. Oliver, Jan 22, 1884, married 23 Aug 1910 to Amelia LaMontagne.
5. William, Aug 2,1886, died Apr 7, 1888.
6. Clarence Victor, Jan 22, 1889, died Apr 13, 1890.
7. Harry Geoffrey/Jefferes, Jul 16 , 1891 in Mittineague, MA.
8. Earnest Peter, 29 May 1894.
9. Melvin, Dec 29, 1895.
10. Raymond Edward, Nov. 5, 1897.
11. Gladys Esther, Aug 2, 1900, wed Roland Reed.
