Adele C. Jewell, age 94 of Baraboo, formerly of Loganville, died on Wednesday, January 24, 1996 at St. Clare Meadows Care Center. She was born on November 15, 1901 in Ableman, Wisconsin, the daughter of Daniel and Ella (Grosskrueger) Gall. She was married to Dr. Ernest Jewell on October 8, 1925 at St. Peters Lutheran Church, Loganville. Their marriage was blessed with two children.

Dr. Jewell, who was Loganville's family physician, preceded her in death on November 21, 1958. She was also preceded in death by a son, Robert, a granddaughter, Kimberly Rene Jewell, brothers, Albert William, Daniel, Herman and Ernest Gall, and a sister, Ida Gade. She was a member of St. Peter's Ladies Aid and the Medical Wives Auxiliary.

She is survived by her son, Dr. Richard (Jeanette) Jewell, Madison, two grandchildren, Todd E. Jewell, Madison, and Lisa Jewell Papelbon, Milwaukee, one great-grandchild, Page Papelbon, a sister, Ella Cottrill, and several nieces and nephews, along with other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 29, 1996 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Loganville. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery.
