Albert Farley, 87, of Hopewell Township for three years, formerly of Sewickley for 50 years, died Jan. 19, 2004, at Beaver Elder Care, Aliquippa.
He was born Nov. 14, 1916, in Pittsburgh, to the late Albert and Nellie Farley.
Mr. Farley was a member of St. Paul?s Lutheran Church, the Teamsters Local 636 and a former member of the Kiwanis Club of Sewickley.
He retired in 1979 from May/Sterns Furniture Co. after 25 years as a laborer in the warehouse.
He also worked for Sewickley Borough as a crossing guard for 17 years.
He was preceded in death by his siblings: Catherine Armour, Lucille Mause and Homer Farley.
He was the beloved husband for 62 years of Dolores Farley of Hopewell Township.
Also surviving are his children: Richard Farley and wife Edith of Sewickley and Kathy Joyce of Hopewell Township.
He also is survived by his grandchildren: Karen Morrow, Richard Farley Jr., Barbara Interval, Susan Farley, Tammy Morey, Thomas Joyce Jr. and Jodi Burns.
Also surviving are his great grandchildren: William and Matthew Morrow; Richard Farley III; Gabriell and Michael Interval; Nicholas and Madison Morey; Patrik, Mary and Tanner Joyce; and Matthew and Bradley Burns.
Burial was in Sewickley Cemetery.
Arrangements were handled by Copeland's Sewickley, Irvine Chapel.
