Ronald E. Crippen, 45, of Sioux City died Friday, Jan. 11, 2002.

Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery in South Sioux City. Visitation will be 4 to 8:30 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., at Christy-Smith Berkemier Chapel.

Mr. Crippen was born March 1, 1956, in Sioux City, the son of Ronald E. and Lupe M. (Lerma) Crippen. He attended Sioux City schools. He married Dara Beth Littlegeorge on Oct. 4, 1986, in Winnebago, Neb.

He was of the Catholic faith.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Serena Crippen of Sioux City, and Candi Denney of Florida; three sisters, Brenda Crippen and Gina Crippen, both of Sioux City, and Charlene Watkins of South Sioux City; a brother, Michael Crippen of Sioux City; 18 grandchildren; and two stepchildren, Justin Littlegeorge of Iowa, and Sarah Alvarado of Sioux City.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Mary Ann Crippen; and a brother, Steven M. Crippen.

Pallbearers will be Kevin and Travis Crippen, Ernie Frye, Bernard and Jamie Littlegeorge, and Louis White Jr.
