Floyd T. Abbott, 86, of Sacramento, Calif., formerly of Upland, Calif., died Nov. 3, 2007, at Sunrise Assisted Living Center in Sacramento.

Born Jan. 23, 1921, in Kenny, Ill., he was the son of Thomas H. and Cornelia J. Boyd Abbott. He first married Mary Frances Diffenbaugh on July 28, 1945, in Monmouth, Ill. She died Aug. 31, 1996. On Jan. 1, 2006, he married Marian Trask Bush in Sacramento.

Mr. Abbott was a manager in automobile finance for General Motors for 35 years. He lived in California for most of his career.

He was reared and educated in Kenny, where he attended public schools and then attended and received a bachelor's degree in history from the University of Illinois in Champaign.

Survivors include his wife; and two sons, John Abbott of Katorah, N.Y., and William Abbott of Sacramento.

Besides his first wife, he was preceded in death by his parents.

The graveside service for Mr. Abbott will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Mausoleum in Monmouth Cemetery. Encryptment will follow in the mausoleum.
