HOWELL, MARY ROBYN LYLE 53, of Hephzibah, GA passed away on Friday, June 22, 2012 in Augusta, GA. Funeral services will be held at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Columbia Road Chapel on Monday, June 25, 2012 at 2pm. Interment will follow in Abilene Church Cemetery. Born in Huntsville, AL, she was the daughter of Sandra Barnett Lyle and the late Dr. Donald Lyle. She graduated in 1977 from Waycross High School and in 1985 from Waycross College with a degree in nursing. Robyn was a third generation nurse and worked at the Doctor's Hospital and University Hospital. She was a member of Abilene Baptist Church and a teacher of the Awana Cubbies at the church. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lyle and Mr. and Mrs. Sanford Barnett. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her son Robert (Chelsea) Howell, Sr., Hephzibah, GA; brother Russell Lyle, Waycross, GA; grandchildren, Robert Howell, Jr. and James Howell, IV The family will receive friends on Monday from 1pm until the hour of service at the funeral home.
