Died at the residence of L.S. Johnson, Esq., on July 20, 1855, Dr. S.C. Brunson, eldest son of Reverend D.D. Brunson, in the 24th year of his age. The deceased was at the time of his death on a visit at the home of his brother-in-law, intending after a few days to leave for the mountains for the benefit of his health. His remains were deposited in the burying ground of the Antioch Church. (The Edgefield Advertiser, August 8, 1855).
