Messrs. and Mmes. Reed Ackley, Buford, W. T. Walker, Cloyd Cribbs, and Mrs. Emery Ackley attended the funeral of Orville(sic) Walker Saturday at Butler. Mr. Walker was a brother of Mrs. Flora Ackley.
After the death of Emery she married second Robert Linville son of John Linville and Mattie Boulware.
In June 1962 Velma was living in/near Hammon, Oklahoma.

HAMMON - Funeral services for Mrs. Velma Lee Ackley, 66, of Hammon, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 4, at the first Baptist Church in Hammon with Rev. Bart Montgomery of Highland Baptist Church, Albuquerque, N. M., officiating, and assisted by Rev. J. C. Neal of the First Baptist Church of Hammon.
Mrs. Ackley died Saturday, July 31, at Hillcrest Hospital in Oklahoma City.
She was born near Kiowa Oct., 29, 1915 and attended Kiowa country school and grew up in that area. She was married to Emeroy(sic) C. Ackley July 12, 1936 in Strong City. The couple made their home in Hammon and raised four children there. She was a cook for the Hammon schools for many years and was employed there at the time of her death. She was a member of the Hammon First Baptist Church and attended to the church nursery for several years. She was a member of the Eastern Star Lodge No. 261 of Butler.
Burial will be at Red Hill Cemetery south of Hammon under the direction of Stanley Lee Funeral Home Clinton.
Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Doyel(sic) (Loretta(sic) Jo) Seright of Oklahoma City; Mrs. Leon (Mary Katherine) Gilliland of Cheyenne; Mrs. Sidney (Seb) (Alta Ann) Bergeron of Gray, La.; one son, James Theodore (J.T.) Ackley of Sayre; one sister(sic, should be aunt), Mrs. Katie Lee Ackley Keirsey(sic) of Live Oak, Calif.; six grandchildren, two step grandchildren and two step-great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions can be made to the diabetic fund of the Oklahoma Research Foundation. Friends may call at the funeral home until 10 a.m. Wednesday.
