Diana was born to Johnnie Hiatt and Patricia (Jackson) Hiatt in Rollete County, ND on 3/21/1945. She graduated from Central Valley High School (Veradale, WA) June, 1963.
Following graduation, she joined the Women's Army Corps and while serving at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma, she met and married Clark Thrasher. They lived in Oklahoma, Washington, Hawaii, Germany, and Kansas while he was in the service. Upon Clark's retirement, they moved to Spokane Valley, WA where Diana returned to school and earned her master's degree in early childhood education on June 9, 1989 from Eastern Washington University (Cheney, WA). Diana then became a teacher at a center for children with learning difficulties as well as a substitute teacher for the District 81 school district. Following her divorce, Diana left teaching and took a position as a pharmacy technician in Liberty Lake, WA.

On February 15, 2009, Diana passed away after a long battle with breast cancer. She was preceded in death by her step-mother, Carrie Adelia (Mellior) Hiatt, her father, Johnnie Hiatt, her brother Jack Lyle Hiatt, and her sister, Peggy (Hiatt) Lockwood.

Juanita (Thrasher) McLachlan - October 13, 1966
John Joseph Thrasher - May 2, 1976.
