Sally was the daughter of Nathaniel and Eunice Garfield. She married Ambrose Batcheller on June 4, 1804, at Stratton, Windham County, Vermont. Some time before 1814, the family settled with relatives in Edinburg, NY, and were apparently instumental in establishing Batchellerville. Sally and Ambrose's children were: Sherman b.abt1805; Samuel b.1806; Sally b.abt1808; Lucy b.abt1813; Ambrose Jr b.1817; and Franklin b.abt1819.
