She was born on 16 November 1862 in Johnstown, Barry Co, Michigan and married twice:

Hortense Lee married John Aspel on 20 Mar 1878 in Johnstown, Barry Co, MI
(John Aspel and Hortense had 5 children before he died in 1889)
2nd
Hortense Aspel married Joseph Farrington (his 2nd marriage also) on 19 Sep 1891 in Lewis County, WA
(Hortense and Joseph had 2 children together in Bucoda)
(Note: Joseph Farrington and his first wife, Ellen (Reed) had 4 children before her death in 1890)
