Maude Teague Roberson, 96, of Candler, died on Friday, May 16, 2014, at Pisgah Manor Health Care Center. A native of Buncombe Co., Mrs. Roberson was a daughter of the late James Robert and Ella Gossett Teague. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Kenny Roberson, by her three sisters, Lucy M Teague, Susie Davis and Beryl Rogers and by her four brothers, Fred, James, Gudger , Mike Teague andan infant brother . Mrs. Roberson is survived by many nieces and nephews. She enjoyed gardening and quilting and going to church as long as her health permitted. A funeral service for Mrs. Roberson will be on Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at Western Chapel United Methodist Church, where she had been a longtime member. The Revs. Ed Worley and Frederick D. Sibley will officiate. Interment will follow in the church's cemetery. Her family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the church.
