Ruth E. Cooley, 89, of Uniontown, Pa., died Friday, July 7, 2006, in Cherry Tree Nursing Home, Uniontown. She was born on August 9, 1916, in Old Frame, Pa., a daughter of the late Louis and Charlotte Woodzell Riley.
She was predeceased by her husband, Melvin Edward Cooley, a son, Melvin Wayne Cooley, six sisters, Ola Sellers, Violet Rishel, Lottie Conway, Claudine Workman, Dulsie Treacher, and Honor Close, and four brothers, Louis, Bernard, George and Robert Riley.
She is survived by a daughter; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister.
Friends will be received in the BARNETT-SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, 680 CHERRY TREE LANE, UNIONTOWN, Pa., on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Ray Keefer officiating.
Interment will be in Mt. View Cemetery.
