Funeral services for Lavonne E. Peters, 60, Creighton were held on Monday, January 14, 1991 at 1:30 p.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church in Creighton with Rev. Paul Banitt officiating. She died January 11, 1991.
Interment was at Greenwood Cemetery at Creighton. Pallbearers were Alan Dartman, Steve Elwood, Dean Nielsen, Gaylan Whitwer and Owen Davids. Honorary pallbearers were Keith Saathoff, Jim Eggers, Richard Suhr, Annette Ralston, Margaret Dartman and Joyce Emory.
Lavonne Peters was born August 7, 1930 at Center, the daughter of Paul and Lucille Jacob. She attended school at Center and Bloomfield and was married to Robert Peters at Bloomfield on April 7, 1949.
They had resided at San Diego, CA, Bloomfield and near Creighton since 1952.
She was a homemaker and a bookkeeper at the Creighton Livestock Market.
She was affiliated with the Lutheran Church and was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, bridge clubs, All Around Birthday Club and L-Cheap-O Investment Club and secretary for the Cancer Society.
Survivors include her husband, Robert; parents, Paul and Lucille Jacob; daughters, Mrs. Michael (Cindy) Elwood of Omaha and Mrs. Steven (Shelley) Witwer of Wymore; sons, Daniel of San Diego, CA and Thomas of Grand Island and two sisters, Mrs. Alton (Betty) Peters of Lincoln and Mrs. Donald (Donna) Friedrichsen of Lincoln.
