Funeral services for Dorothy Schwindt, 73, Creighton were held November 14, 1991 at the Congregational-Baptist UCC Church with Revs. Koni Purdy Purscell and Kenneth Purscell officiating.
Interment was at Greenwood Cemetery in Creighton. Pallbearers were Donald Schwindt, Robert Schwindt, Donald Kester, Danny Shanno, Roger Schwindt and George Thiele.
She died November 11 at Lundberg Memorial Hospital in Creighton.
She was born May 28, 1918 at Hoskins, the daughter of August and Therese Miller. She attended rural school near Hoskins. She married Paul Schwindt in 1936 at Hoskins. They farmed near Hoskins, Stanton, Pierce, Creighton and Lindy. Her husband died in 1965 and she had resided in Creighton since that time. In the past years she had worked at the Creighton Care Centre, Finn's Inn Cafe and Jacobs Bakery.
She is survived by two sons, Larry of Creighton and Paul of O'Neill; four sisters, Emma Baden and Hilda Ham, both of Norfolk and Helen Puls and Bertha Windt, both of Pilger; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers and three sisters.
