A heart attack was fatal to Paul R. Schwindt on Thursday evening, July 15 at his home in the Lindy community. He would have been 51 years old had he lived 13 more days.
Funeral services were held at Hengstler's Chapel Monday afternoon, July 19, with the Rev. Edward Keller, pastor of Zion Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Clyde Porter, Al Macke, Henry Macke, Larry Macke, Adolph Stoural and Larry Beach.
Paul R. Schwindt was born July 28, 1914 at Hoskins, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Schwindt. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church.
He was married to Dorothy Miller at Dakota City in 1935. He farmed near Lindy.
Surviving are his wife; two sons, Larry of Creighton and Paul Jr. at home; three grandchildren; five brothers, Herbert of Hoskins, Robert of Cheyenne, Wyo., Henry of Scottsbluff, Jake of Norfolk and Pete of Lincoln and four sisters, Mrs. Albert Carstens and Mrs. Elizabeth Starkle of Norfolk, Mrs. Clara Walker and Mrs. Amelia Rinick of Lincoln.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Alex.
