HENRY - Mary Pauline "Polly" McAllister, 81, of Henry died at 5:50 a.m. Monday, April 22, 2013, at Heartland Health Care Center in Henry.
Polly was born July 21, 1931, in Speer, Ill., to Hubert and Susan (Buckler) Mattingly. She married Thomas P. McAllister in February 1949. He preceded her in death on Nov. 11, 1984.
Surviving are her son, Larry (Nancy) McAllister of Las Vegas, Nev.; her daughter, Janie McAllister of Atlanta, Ga.; four grandsons; and four great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her siblings, Leon (Jean) Mattingly of Henry, Sister Cecelia McAllister of Peoria, Patricia Hess of Peoria, Mary (Lloyd) Russell of Henry and Jim (Mary Jane) Mattingly of Henry.
Her parents and one son preceded her in death.
Polly was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Henry.
She was a homemaker, a waitress and a hostess for many years at the Henry Marina.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 25, 2013, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Henry. Father Ron Enderlin will officiate. Inurnment will follow in Henry Cemetery in Henry.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Henry Senior Nutrition Site.
Calvert & Johnson Memorial Home in Henry is in charge of arrangements.
