LaVerna was the type of person who enjoyed life and was a devout Catholic. She was able to find good in everything she touched and was a caring and compassionate person. She also enjoyed sewing, gardening, canning, walking, traveling and spending time with her family.
LaVerna passed away on March 23, 2006 at the Greenbush Nursing Home at the age of 88.
She is survived by her children: Pat Hunter of Roosevelt, MaryAnne Von Ende of Ryderwood, WA, Karen (Norm) Johnson of Web Lake, WI, Tony Von Ende of Lake Bronson, MN, and Rick (Wendy) Von Ende of Badger; daughter-in-laws, Ramona and Sue Von Ende; brothers, Earl (Sadie) Mastley of GA, Victor (Wilma) Mastley of Elk River, MN and Melbert (Betty Ann) Mastley of Plymouth, MN; sisters, Betty (Harry) Shore of Osseo and Rita (LeRoy) Nadeau of Champlin, MN; 19 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Robert and Donald; husband, Albert; son-in-law, Donald Hunter; brothers, Clarence and Alvin; and a sister, Barbara.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 27th at 1 PM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Becker, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Becker.
