Don was cremated. When Nedra was buried in 2012, the urn with his ashes was placed in her casket.Donald Tinney, age 62, of Allen, TX passed away on March 26, 2003 in Plano. He was born on april 14, 1940 to I.W. and Ola (Boyles)Tinney in Ryan, OK. On July 21, 1962, he married Nedra Reagan in Canadian, TX.
He was the co-owner of Neddon Antiques in Allen and a member of the First Christian Church of Allen. He was a a charter member of the North Texas Fostoria Club of America. He was also a member of the Cambridge Glass Club and Glass Plus Study Club, which he started. He co-authored a book on 20th Century Glass and was a graduate of West Texas State University with a BBA in Business.
He is survived by his wife, Nedra Tinney; sons, David Tinney of Dallas and Mitchell Tinney and wife, Jennifer of Garland; grandchildren, Ashton and Garrett Tinney; sister, Sue Skulley of Pampa; brother, Bob Tinney and wife, Mary of Odessa; aunt, Lorena Haskins of Port Lavaca, TX; numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends. His parents preceded him in death. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 29, 2003 at the First Christian Church in Allen with Revs. M.J. and Greg Fitch officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Christian Church of Allen General Fund, the National Fostoria Club or the Cambridge Glass Club.
