CALDWELL — Services for Bert C. Dwinell, 93, Caldwell, who died Friday in a Caldwell nursing home, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Memorial Park Baptist Church, Caldwell, by the Rev. Edward P. Sladek. Private interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell, under the direction of Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
He was born May 10, 1887, in Osborne County Kan., where he was reared and educated. He married Stella M. Chasteen on Aug. 30, 1911, in Loveland, Colo. They farmed at Cliffcottage, Colo. They lived in the Denver and Loveland areas until moving to Caldwell in 1939. He was a carpenter and worked for Crookham Seed Co. in Caldwell for 27 years, retiring in 1961. His wife died in January 1981. He was a member of Memorial Park Baptist Church, Caldwell Oddfellows Lodge and Gem of the Mountains Rebekah Lodge No. 5, Caldwell.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Hugh (Emma) Wright of Wallowa, Ore.; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter.
