Mrs. Mabel Bate received word that her nephew, Chester Rice, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Rice of Mendota, California, had passed away Tuesday, May 25, at 2:00 o'clock in the morning of a heart attack.
Chet, as he was better known, was born May 26, 1908 northeast of Climax.
He leaves his wife, Thelma, and son, Eli, daughter-in-law, mother and father of Mendota, and a number of relatives and friends in and near Climax and Eureka.
