ADRIAN, Virgil Eugene, age 41, a resident of Danville, was killed on the 10th of June, 1969, in a fiery truck accident on U.S. 50 south of Cincinnati, just over the Indiana state line. It was reported in the Mount Vernon News that Virgil was a passenger in a hatchery truck that was carrying about 13,000 turkey poults to Indiana, when an ammonia truck ahead of them struck the side of an underpass, caught fire and burst open, spilling ammonia across the highway. They hit the ammonia truck and swerved into a field where Virgil died from the ammonia fumes, a fatal injury received in the impact or a combination of the two. He was born on the 3rd of October, 1928, the son of Virgil H. 1892-1964 and A. Ilo [Russell] Adrian 1897-1958. He was survived by a brother and two sisters. Virgil is buried in the Workman Cemetery, Danville. TJD2015
