Wife of Henry CollinsPARENTS: John Frazer & Mary Elizabeth Fisher.


At the time of her birth, Greenbrier was in the State of Virginia. At the beginning of the Civil War, the northwest part of Virginia seceded & became West Virginia.


Caroline came to Illinois in 1834 with her parents, John and Margaret Frazer; they located in what is now Will County.

When she was only fourteen years old she lost her mother and being the next eldest of eight children, her father John naturally turned to his older daughters for help and comfort in helping care for their younger siblings.


Her father, John Fraser, married Phoebe Shaw Barden Beckwith ca 1847 in Illinois.

Believe his mother was pregnant with him when her husband Henry Collins died. She probably returned to family in Illinois for his birth; m. Sarepta Diadema Phillips; d. 12 Mar. 1951, Long Beach, Los Angeles Co., CA. They had 3 children. Sarepta d. Jan. 5, 1945. They are both buried in this cem.
