My precious grandma, Emma Melhorn was the daughter of Nicholas Wyland (1854-1928) and Jane Hott Wyland (1858-1945). She left Pennsylvania and came to California, with her husband, Peter and her 6 surviving children, in 1932. She was a loving Mother to Olive, Marie, Ralph (1909-1925), Hal, Robert, Roena and Kenneth. and dearest Grandma to Betty, Peter, Marie (Penny) LaVerne, Nancy, Max and Diane. Great grandmother to Joseph and Ralph. She also left behind her sister, Ida Hogue and brothers Benjamin and Alvin Wyland. She was a devout Catholic and well loved and respected. Her family will always miss her, but we know she is in heaven waiting for us.
