Tillie made the "landrun" into the "Cherokee Strip" with her parents John B. and Elizabeth BARR, and homesteaded near Wakita, OK. NW4 20-28-7.
1896: Married Alpha Branch, neighbor homesteader in the NW4 .
Tillie died of breast cancer, eight years after her only daughter died of breast cancer. Tillie's biggest sorrow was that her youngest son Paul was still overseas with the Army Air Corps during her last illness.
