C.P. ADAM DIES
WEDNESDAY
County Garage Employee Ill Since Saturday

Charles P. Adam, 60 of 415 South Wald, passed away yesterday afternoon at 2:45 p.m. at Mercy hospital. He had been in the hospital since Saturday. Death was attributed to heart trouble.
Charles P. Adam was born in Velpin, Pike county, Indiana, on July 24, 1883, to Mr. and Mrs. James H. Adam. He came to Montgomery county in 1885 and in 1919 came to Independence. He was employed in the county garage.
Surviving him are his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Doyle Phillips of Independence, and five sons, Pvt. Charles Adam, jr., who is in the South Pacific, Pfc. Harry James Adam who is somewhere in Italy, Clarence Jack Adam, William Joseph Adam and Jerry Jay Adam, all of this city.
Funeral arrangements are pending word from relatives. Webb Funeral home is in charge.

Charles grave has no marker. There is a large cement pot on his grave. He is buried in the space on the right side of mother-in-law Lucy (Blair) Boswell. Confirmed through cemetery records at Mount Hope Cemetery.
