SARAH BLACK
The funeral services of Mrs. Loman Black were conducted from the residence by Rev. W. L. Selby at 1 o'clock Wednesday of last week.
The deceased, Sarah Jane Henry, was born in Lucas county Iowa November 25, 1849 and died at her home in Eldon February 24, 1913, being at the time of her death 63 years, 2 months, and 30 days of age.
She was married to Loman Black April 23, 1868. To this union were born twelve children, five having preceded their mother. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband, seven children, 28 grandchildren, 5 brothers and 5 sisters, besides a host of relatives and friends. She was a firm believer in the Bible, having joined the Methodist church in girlhood.
During her last days of suffering she was patient and cheerful, and professed herself ready to go whenever the summons should come.
She was a devoted wife and mother, a kind and obliging neighbor, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
