Muriel Addison
Muriel M. Addison, 92, of Cass City, died Sunday, June 29, 1997, in Tendercare Nursing Facility.
Born Feb. 6, 1905, in Swaffam, England, she was the daughter of Alfred and Maude Addison. She never married.
She lived half her life in England and half in Cass City, and was a member of the Anglican Church of Holy Trinity Parish in Blackpool, England, since childhood. Later she joined the Salem United Methodist Church of Cass City, where she served as a Sunday School teacher.
Surviving are 3 sisters, Betty Dorling, Dorothy Malton and Phyllis Boyce, all of England; several nieces and nephews; 6 godchildren, and many friends. She was preceded in death by a sister, Tamar; a brother, William, and a great-uncle, Harry Young, and his wife, Merle.
Memorial services were scheduled Tuesday, July 1, at the United Methodist Church of Cass City, with the Rev. Robert Garrett and the Rev. Clare Patton, retired minister, officiating.
Interment will be in Elkland Township Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Rawson Memorial Library or the United Methodist Church of Cass City.
