Samuel A. Ansel, 90, of 320 N. Fifth Street, Columbia, died Saturday evening, February 5, 2005 at LGH.
He was the husband of Sylvia R. Wolpert Ansel with whom he was married 63 years last October 9.
He was the owner of Hotel Locust, Columbia.
Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Abraham and Sara Rachel Benn Ansel.
Samuel was a member of Congregation Degel Israel.
Surviving in addition to his wife is one son, Calvin Ackman, of Baltimore, MD; one daughter, Sara R. Foehlinger, of Columbia; 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Ansel and a sister, Gertrude Karlip.
Funeral Services will be held at the Andrew T. Scheid Funeral Home, 320 Blue Rock Road, Route 999, Millersville, PA on Monday, February 7, 2005 at 4 PM with Rabbi Shaya Sackett officiating.
