Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Abraham and Sara Rachel Benn Ansel.
Samuel was a member of Congregation Degel Israel.
Surviving in addition to his wife is one son, Calvin Ackman, of Baltimore, MD; one daughter, Sara R. Foehlinger, of Columbia; 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Ansel and a sister, Gertrude Karlip.
Funeral Services will be held at the Andrew T. Scheid Funeral Home, 320 Blue Rock Road, Route 999, Millersville, PA on Monday, February 7, 2005 at 4 PM with Rabbi Shaya Sackett officiating.
