EDWARD HARLAN MCLISH passed way on June 27, 2012 at the age of 83. Ed was born on June 2, 1929 in Lawton, Oklahoma to John and Lula McLish. After being drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates organization, Ed played five years in the Minor Leagues before being drafted into the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Sheila Ann, his parents and six siblings. Ed is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Esther McLish; his son, Mark McLish and wife Beverly; daughter, Andrea Melton and husband Michael; and four grandchildren, Meghan, Morgan, Taylor Anne and Mark.
The family will gather Monday, July 2, 2012 at 10 a.m. to celebrate Ed's life during a graveside memorial service at Forest Park East Cemetery.
In lieu of floral arrangements, memorial donations may be made in Ed's memory to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 5005 Mitchelldale, Suite 115, Houston, Texas 77092.
