LEONARD BUHRLE DEAD
Leonard Buhrle, Civil War veteran, died Sunday evening of Bright's disease at the home of his daughter, Mrs. J. K. Egner, 318 West Eighteenth.
Mr. Buhrle was born February 25, 1843, in St. Charles county, Mo. He was married 51 years ago to Miss Martha Sumner of Carolton (sic), Mo., and they moved to Lees Summit, Mo., where they lived 40 years. In 1919 Mr. and Mrs. Buhrle moved to Emporia.
Mr. Buhrle is survived by Mrs. Buhrle and one daughter, Mrs. Egner. One brother, H. W. Schrader, of Haviland, and one grandson, Karl Buhrle Egner, also survive. Mr. Egner was a member of the Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Dumm chapel. Rev. O. M. Showalter, pastor of the Fist Baptist church, will conduct the services. Interment will be made in Maplewood cemetery.
